PUBLIC NOTICE – Sump pumps are not permitted to be plumbed into the sewer/sanitary system.

If you are doing so, please discontinue immediately.

Ordinance Chapter 95.04 Prohibited Acts: #2- Connect a roof downspout, sump pump, exterior foundation drain, areaway drain, or other source of surface run-off or groundwater to a building sewer or building drain which in turn is connected directly or indirectly to a public sanitary sewer.

This Ordinance will be enforced. Any continued violations will be prosecuted through the City Council.

Cleanup buckets are available at City Hall. We will need you to sign them out. Thanks!
